Fergus started out as an assistant director on BBC dramas and features. He then joined Pukka Films as an editor in 2008, developing additional skills as a writer and director on a range of corporate and commercial films. Freelance since 2012, he now works with a number of London based clients and production companies to deliver films that inspire, communicate and entertain.
Fergus is a keen writer, distilling a message down to its most compelling form and finding an effective narrative vehicle to deliver it. He particularly enjoys writing comedy, and has written sketches for BT and more recently, two 30min films for Video Arts. He won the IVCA Best Script Gold in 2011 and 2013, and his film for CQI won for Best Training in 2012.
Fergus is a fast and attentive editor with an eye for detail and 6 years experience. Asking the right questions, knowing who the audience is and crafting a structure are challenges he knows and loves. He works in both FCP and Premiere.
Fergus is passionate about storytelling and original, entertaining filmmaking that teaches, enlightens, or makes you laugh.
